Effect of Activity Analysis Therapy based on the Model of Human Occupation and Human Activity Theory on Occupational Participation of Client with Mental Disorder

Abstract

|
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of activity analysis therapy based on human work model and human activity theory on work participation of mentally disabled subjects.
Method: As a case report study, 6 training sessions, planning and application of an activity analysis treatment program for subjects diagnosed with schizophrenia based on the Model Of Human Occupation and Human Activity Theory 6 The program was conducted for a total of 18 sessions, with 6 sessions and feedback sharing sessions. The areas of activity were social participation, leisure, work, and activity participation.
Results: In the self-reported life participation scale (OSA) evaluation before and after activity analysis therapy intervention, there was a positive change in score in the positive direction for the work activity that the client thought was important and the work activity maintained appropriately.
Conclusion: A mental rehabilitation program combining human work model and human activity theory had a positive effect on improving work performance of clients diagnosed with mental disorders.
